Tickle Your Fancy

Back in my day, lol, wait that makes me sound old as dirt. Let’s try that again. When I was younger I had a Polaroid camera. I loved the fact that I didn’t have to wait for my pictures to be developed. Instant gratification. Now I take tons of pictures and they end up on Instagram or just sitting in a folder on my computer. I never develop pictures anymore. So this new Polaroid Z2300 Digital Camera might be a good look. This Polaroid is a lot smaller than the original and the pictures should be much clearer with 10 megapixels.  You also have the option of selecting how many copies of the picture you want to print. Fancy has it for sale for $250, but you can find it for almost $100 cheaper at Walmart. Might have to add this to my wishlist.

If you are like me and plan on spending a LOT of time on the beach this year, TanSafe needs to be purchased. I’m always nervous about leaving my stuff behind while I go in the water. TanSafe looks like a suntan lotion bottle, but it actually opens and allows you to hide your valuables. I will be ordering this.

I love music. It might be my first love. This Music is My Boyfriend t-shirt is “cute,” but the design could be better.

Its pictures like this that make me want to have a baby…for like 30 seconds and then I come back to reality. But if I had a little girl, she would be super fly like these two curly-haired cuties.

Body Part

If you know me well enough, then you know I can't dance, but every time a new Ciara video comes out, I still try my best to do all the moves she does. Her new video for "Body Party" is no different. I think I might actually be successful with this video. Definitely a sexy look. This video features her boo Future and Ludacris, Jazze Pha and Trinidad James make cameo reappearances. Check it out. Zoya Earth Day Nail Polish Exchange

The Zoya Earth Day Nail Polish Exchange is one of my favorite times of year and its super easy to participate in. All you have to do is send Zoya your old nail polishes that probably have ingredients like Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Toluene, DBP and Camphor. Then you pick new polishes from Zoya’s collection of 300 colors (free of those same above ingredients).  Pay $4 per Zoya bottle and then send Zoya your old nail polishes to be properly dispose.

This is what happened last time I participated in the Zoya Nail Polish Exchange. LOL I liked so many colors and couldn't choose one over the other, so I just got them all. I can’t wait to pick out colors this year.

If you don't know who Luke James is, that makes two of us. LOL

Seriously though, the only thing I know about Luke James is that he used to be a background singer for Tyrese. He released a mixtape last year. I downloaded it and the songs were hit or miss to me, but he has a great voice. Luke is putting out his first studio album later this year and I am LOVING this song “I.O.U.” Check out the video below.

Fancy Is My Name

I’ve had such a busy day today. Went to the Marriott International offices to participate in their digital research and for my time they gave me a $100 Marriott gift card. That gift card will come in handy because I need a weekend getaway SOON! Then I had two great conference calls with national organizations that Rogue PR might be partnering with soon. I’m excited.

Here are my FANCY items of the week.

A Waffle Cone Maker! YES PLEASE! This would go great with my Ice Cream Maker.

What Ice Cream Maker you say? I forgot to mention how I found this Cuisinart IceCream/Sorbet Maker on Amazon and it comes in 11 different bright colors. LOVE. Since I‘m trying to each healthier, I guess I would use this to make more sorbet than ice cream. Add this to my wishlist!

I laughed as soon as I saw Stress Ball Paul. Feeling stressed, might as well squeeze The Man!

I might have to get this Nikon Lens Mug for a couple of my photographer friends. Its so cute!

So I might have an issue with "Fancy" profanity. Which explains my next two items. #dontjudgeme

I would LOVE to use this Bullshit Stamp at work. HA HA. Not sure my co-workers would think it was that funny though.

Wonder if I can hang this in my new office.

I wanna rock these leather bandages next time I get a boo boo. Who says my bandages can’t be fashionable too? Eat your words!

One average I take 20-30 pictures on my camera phone a day. So this Holga Lens Cover has me totally intrigued. It’s a case for your iPhone with 9 different special effects and filters.

I keep an iPhone charger with me at ALL times. I can’t be anywhere with a phone at 5%. That’s no good to me. So I really like this Band Car Charger for two reasons. 1. Its wider than your average iPhone cord, so hopefully its more durable. 2. It allows you to charge 2 devices at the same time. Might be worth the investment.

I have this thing for Mason Jars. I love that this Simply A-Mason Mug is like a grown-up sippy cup. I love adult sippy cups. If only this jar came with different letters. I want one with an “A.”

Lomo Saltado

Every Thursday, I get this craving French fries. Last Thursday was no different. I’m sitting in the waiting room of my eye doctor’s office and wishing they would hurry up and call me back, so I can make my way to Wendy’s. No such luck. I ended up waiting in for over an hour and while I’m waiting I get this bright idea to make Lomo Saltado instead of getting French fries. If you aren’t familiar with Lomo Saltado, it’s a Peruvian dish with Asian influences. It’s a beef stir fry that’s served over rice and FRENCH FRIES. YES!!

I searched my love, my favorite site, PINTEREST for a good recipe. I came up with a few interesting recipes, but they were in Spanish. EEK!  I can speak and read a little Spanish, but to translate a recipe is a different. Thankfully, I used the trusty Google Translate to translate the recipes I found. I took ingredients from a few different recipes and combine them to make my perfect recipe.

Being the little rebel that I am, I decided that I wanted to alter “my” recipe. Instead of cooking the French fries in the oven, I cooked them on top of the stove. (Bad decision) Cooking the fries on top of the stove means they did not get crispy like they would have in the oven. (Note to self: Cook fries in the oven next time)

Cinnamon Banana Bread

My roommate had a bunch of bananas lying around and they were over ripe.  I decided to use them and make banana bread. Of course I forgot to check my cabinets to make sure I had all the ingredients and I didn’t. So I had to substitute butter in the original recipe for olive oil. Once the bread was finished baking, I was so eager to cut it, that I forgot to take a picture. So the picture below is from Lovin' From the Oven's awesome blog. Oh You Fancy Huh

Someone recently told me that "Fancy Friday" was such a boring title, so I'm trying something new. Anyway, now that I'm back, so are the posts formerly known as "Fancy Friday" will continue. 

The first item that I am loving and really want to buy is the Towel Warmer by Brookstone. Who doesn't love to wrap up in a warm towel after you get out the shower? Seriously if I got one of these, I think I would just melt onto my sheets.

As a child, I LOVED Jem. I had a Jem doll and of course she was one of my favorites. My favorite thing about Jem was that she could touch her earring and magically change her outfit.

So naturally these LED Crystal Earrings remind me of Jem. Something I might purchase because they are unique and I can pretend I'm Jem while wearing them. #dontjudgeme

You can never have too many cocktail shakers right? Super cute Eye Chart Cocktail Shaker.

Since we’re on the topic of cocktails and drinking, a Disposable Flask is always good to have. Never know when you might have to take your cocktail on the go. (No drinking and driving of course)

I low-key hate the term “Wifey.” I think either you are the wife or not. Don’t act like the wife without a ring, otherwise you may never get a ring. (Like why buy the cow if you can get the milk for free) Totally loving this Ain’t  the Wifey tank.

Honey Sriracha Chicken

In my quest to find new recipes for Sunday dinner, I always turn to PINTEREST. It’s the best place to search for recipes, in my opinion. I looked through my Addicted to Chicken board and found a recipe for Honey Sriracha Chicken and decided to try it. I also made cilantro lime rice (recipe will be posted later this week) and asparagus wrapped in bacon. YUM

Stuffed Flank Steak

I cook all the time and plan these great recipe posts in my head that never actually make it to the blog. The main reason for that is that my presentation skills suck. After I cook the food and can never make it look pretty on a plate. BUT you guys are missing some great recipes, so until I improve my presentation skills, I’m going to improvise (work with me).

I’m totally addicted to Pinterest and definitely spend a couple hours each week pinning new recipes or searching for new recipes. I have this thing for stuffing meat. (Don’t laugh) I love stuffing chicken. And my roommate has been asking me to stuff salmon (kinda scared about that one). Recently, I came across a recipe for Stuffed Flank Steak and knew I had to try it.

The original recipe comes from Familycircle.com, but since I forgot to get some eggs, I altered the recipe slightly.
