Jumping the Broom
On V-day my friend Asipproc and I went to a screening of the movie Jumping the Broom, to be released on Mother's Day. I loved it and you can read her thoughts on the movie here.
Turning Tables - Day 5
Day 5 - A song that's stuck in my head
Hands down its a song by Adele called "Turning Tables." This song doesn't relate to anything in my life right now, but at one time it did. I think everyone has probable had someone in their life who was good at playing mind games. They might have been doing you wrong and when you confront them, they always manage to turn the tables around. The manipulators. You wind up feeling guilty for being upset or accusing them of something. I love Adele's take on this:

My Lip Gloss is Poppin
I love to shop. This we know. I love the instant gratification of buying something and then bring it home to play with it, try it on or hang it in my gloss. But I also love online shopping. Whenever I receive packages in the mail, I get so excited as if someone has sent me a present. Does it matter that I bought myself the present?

Vera Wang - Oh YES
I love weddings. All the details that go into the planning, the flowers, the decor, the photographer (I'll talk about that more later) and of course the DRESS. However, I do not like David's Bridal. Its the cookie cutter, blah, boring bridal shop. For many women, David's Bridal is the first and only shop they visit. They find an inexpensive dress that 20 other woman have worn or will wear and they purchase it. "Ewww!"
Imagine my surprise when I found out that Vera Wang now has a Bridal Collection at David's Bridal. Who doesn't love Vera?
These are my favorite from her collection.
Whenever my time comes to walk down the aisle, I probably won't be going to David's Bridal to purchase my dresses. Yes, I want more than one, but I wouldn't mind visiting a David's Bridal soon to check out these dresses.

This song always makes me cry when I listen to it because the words truly embodies how I feel about my father. This lyrics speak about our relationship. My love for my dad is so great. He is always there for me whenever I need advice, whenever I've screwed something up, whenever I am down and when I have great news. My dad is such a loving provider for his family, truly a hard-worker and he sacrifices so much to take care of his family. I love my dad. I am such a daddy's girl and I am proud of it. I have been blessed with wonderful men in my life that spoil me and my dad was definitely one of the first. My paternal grandfather is the other.
If I marry a man who is half the man, my father is, I would be making a very smart decision.

Mixed Emotions
Thursday was a happy day because a very good friend of mine known as JBJuiceman got engaged. I was screaming and dancing around when I heard the news, as if it was my very own engagement. LOL JB is like a brother to me and his new fiancée is super sweet. I can’t wait for the wedding. Its definitely going to be a party! And yes, “He went to Jareds!”
I ended up going to bed happy for my friend's engagement, but annoyed with my Tumblr blog.
I spent 4 hours Googling how to add Google Friends Connect to my blog. I ended up super annoyed because I couldn't figure it out, which prompted me to move to Blogger.
