Fancy Friday

I'm visiting my parents down South for the rest of the year, so I should have plenty of time to do lots of blogging in the next week. We'll see how that goes. Now for my Fancy Friday list...

I forgot to mention that if you want to join The Fancy you can do so here. My first pick of the week is the Corkcicle and actually comes from Open Sky. For those of you who have never heard of Open Sky, its a commerce site that sells really cute products endorsed by celebrities and experts. You can join Open Sky here. They have some really neat items. The best one I've gotten so far was a tiny, portable charger for my iPhone. My friends all laughed at me for having it at first, but the moment their cell phone died, they asked to use my charger. Mmm hmmm!

Okay back to the Corkcicle. You pop this in the freezer for a couple hours and then put in your wine bottle and it chills the wine. PERFECTO. I need one of these in pink. 

Bag 'Em

Fancy Friday

So I started this post yesterday because its been a busy week for me and I wanted to be prepared. I completed most of the post and just needed to add the intro and of course I would completely forget until 10 minutes. ME and my CRAZY world. Anyway, here is my pics for Fancy Friday. Enjoy!

Just Throw It in the Bag

A year ago when I was moving, I tried to purge my purse collection. A couple of my girls came over, we went through all my bags and whatever I didn't want, they happily claimed. I had the idea in my head that i was going to exclusively buy higher-end designer bags. They cost a lot, but many of them are classics and timeless. 

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, my paycheck can't afford to buy designer bags all the time. AND I'm addicted to purses, so if I see a cute bag and the price is right, I can't resist.

I love color, so I think these Ralph Lauren Vachetta Stirrup Boston bags are hot. The bag comes in 5 bold colors.

I have this THING for clutches. I am always buying clutches, even though I have to admit I rarely wear them.  I'm trying to incorporate them into my wardrobe more. This Lena Erziak Pink Adam evening bag is adorbs and I loved it even more on Katy Perry.

Unchained Melody Revisited

The thing about being a jewelry/accessories addict is that even though I own my own accessories boutique, I am still always shopping at other stores for the latest and greatest. I'm an addict, so I can never have too many earrings or purses.  

About a year and a half ago, I did 2 posts on Melody Ehsani and her fabulous jewelry and I think they've been my most popular posts. It was early in my blogging history, so I didn't really know a lot about linking photos and such. I had to go back into the post and fix the links, so you can view the posts Unchained Melody and Lusting for Melody Ehsani Earrings. 

I'm still loving Melody and was drooling over her new pieces recently. I realized that the Lion Pendant Necklace that I carry at R'Belle Boutique is Melody Ehsani-inspired because she has a similar necklace. Shows how much I really like her designs. Here's the pieces I'm crushing on now. The Always On Time bracelet is still hot and I'm mad at myself for not buying it a year ago, since the price has increased.

In an effort to make sure that I stay regular at posting, I am starting something new called Fancy Friday. About a year ago I stumbled upon a website called The Fancy. They have tons of cool, creative or interesting things; so I want to share my favorites each week.

B-A-N-A-N-A-S

Recently, I have fallen in love with banana pudding. I don't really remember eating it a lot when I was growing up because it was one of the only dessert my mother did not make. I asked my mom why she never made banana pudding before and her response was, "That was one of your dad's favorite desserts and since his mother made it so well, I never tried to duplicate that." Understood! You know how men always think that no one cooks as good as their mom does. I'm guilty of that too though, I think my mom is a bomb cook.

I love desserts and baking and decided to try my hand at making a banana pudding. Instead of just making instant pudding, I was a little adventurous and made the pudding from scratch and whipped up my own whipped cream. I can't tell you how excited I was when I was stirring the pudding mixture and it started to turn into pudding. Definitely did a little celebration dance in the kitchen.

When I cook, I tend to look at a bunch of recipes, take a few things I like from each and combine them to create my perfect recipe. This was totally the case for the banana pudding because my recipe is a combination of 4 separate recipes. My method worked because this pudding was magically delicious and tasted even better the second day.

Don't Call It a Comeback

It's been a while since I've blogged anything, but I'm back and I am going to try to do at least two blog posts a week and one will probably be about food. I've been busy traveling, falling in love and out (literally), and cooking a LOT. Ooh and the biggest thing of all is my baby. Not a real baby, but I've started a business that is very much like a baby.
